Why is the reel so expensive? Mostly because of how awesome it is. It looks great, it is durable, it is the lightest spinning reel that Abu Garcia produces (either 5.6 oz. or 5.9 oz. depending on the choice you pick), and it is about as smooth as any spinning reel ever produced.
